I acquired this estate ring, but know little about it other than what you see. I believe the cabuchon is a carnelian. The ring is stamped "10K," along with the picture of a little church or cathedral. Can anyone deduce its age, or who the manufacturer/artist might be, based on that mark? (I did try some research online, but came up empty.) THANK YOU!!
I have enlarged this with three different photo editing softwares and I don't see a church. Perhaps PhilDMorris will have a peek. He plays around with photo's.
Thank you, fhrjr2. I've added an enlarged photo. You should be able to see the little church -- with a tall central steeple, a smaller steeple/turret on either side, and little windows. Sorry, I know the lighting is not the best, and I had to take the picture through a loupe.
If they were going to use a church, youd think they would use a much simpler design.'Maybe take it to your local pastor and maybe he will see a church. I have seen that design before, however !~
Sorry, it's very hard to capture with the camera. It's definitely a building similar to a church: with three "steeples" in the front (the center one being tallest), along with a tiny round window and old wooden-style double entrance doors. It has a roof line, and the wall (on the right) has three small windows. If not a church, it may be a landmark university building or something of the sort.
I haven't found anything similar in makers mark searches but I did find an interesting bit of trivia. Some couples had their rings engraved with the image of the church they were married in rather than their initials or the usual little I Love You type inscription. I believe I was on a foreign site when I read that bit of trivia. Perhaps you can find out where the original owner was from and research their customs.
Wow! Thank you very much for that information, and for taking the time to look it up. You guys are great.
Hello, Jellybean48, did you tried to look for Church and Co hallmark? Looks like the one you are describing. So it is really the church on the mark. If I’m not mistaken, company was founded by Charles Church in 1940-s. The did. some work for Tiffany, so it is very respectful company.

Yes, Ivan, right on the top of the Church and Co site is the church hallmark, exactly the same as Jellybean48 draw.
Thank you, starushka and IVAN49!! After 2 years, you have finally helped me solve the mystery. I contacted Church & Co., and they responded today that they indeed made this lady's ring. It was in the 1930s (depression), hence the 10K. Thanks again.
