Would like to know if anyone can tell me about how old are these badges . Can't find any pictures of a hose wagon driver badge.

Are the backs marked? If the back has the maker mark they can be dated from that. If they aren't marked then chances are you would need to go research the department and what years they issued what design badges. Also the type pin on th back can help with approximate dates.

Thanks. Braxmar badges are very easy to date. There is an online database of all their marks they used over the years. I have some of their badges from the 1930's. I will see if I have a link still to their database. If I do I will post it here.

The basic design of your Jackson badge I found in a 1927 Braxmar ad but haven't found the back stamp yet. The truth is in the back stamp when it comes to age.

Thanks, not to sure if the screw on the hose wagon driver badge is the correct one . But there are no other Mark's on it.

Bear with me here I found my Braxmar data. The one marked 10 Maiden Lane was issued from 1900 to 1910.

Give me a minute for the other one I have 3 computers going at once and only one monitor. Be right back

OK, the one marked 10 - 12 Maiden Lane dates from 1910 to 1926. Braxmar had a number of different addresses over the years and the back stamp corresponds to the year or years at a given address. Hope this helps. I am sure the info is accurate.
