      Is it plastic? A tray? A display?

      In your 3rd photo, at bottom (center) the add for The Elgin shows a B.W. Raymond.
      The National Watch Co. (Elgin) was formed in August of 1864, the factory was completed in 1866, and the 1st movement manufactured, was an 18 size B. W. Raymond. B. W. Raymond was the 1st President of Elgin.
      Just a little history,
