    I give up -- the round tip of this tool is about 1/4" in diameter with maybe 1/8" hole bored through it. It's brass and is spring-loaded and rotates freely in the larger fixed section. The internet knows all.

      Looks like a Brookstone brad driver. I can't see inside the barrel to be sure.
