Seems to be solid wood, carved decoys. They are heavy and solid. One has slight hole in bottom that leaves wood dust wherever I set it down. Another item from my aunt's collection of vintage collectibles. I would love to know if they are, indeed, wood and how old they might be.

stuff - not beetles! I would have to get rid of the ducks if they have beetles. For now, I will enclose them in plastic. So much to learn. At least I know they are wood. I have several other ducks, but I suspect they are not solid wood - maybe wood and resin mix. They've all been packed together. Thank you!

That’s worrisome about the sawdust coming from a tiny hole. A few years ago, I bought a beautiful painted wooden trinket box which had been made in Philippines. Within a few weeks, I found sawdust and tiny pin-holes inside the lid.....the box was infested with some tiny borers!
I initially sealed it in a plastic bag but got worried that they could spread to the environment and every thing wood in my home so I burned it.

Watch - that IS worrisome, but only because I cannot abide bugs - especially those you cannot see. I researched how to get rid of the beetles. My Aunt probably had these ducks for decades. Nothing in her house seemed affected. Thanks.

A friend of mine years ago made a cribbage board/coffee table out an oak board. varnished it!! New holes began appearing not relating to the game so he said it was haunted by guys that lost to him!!! He would toast them by pouring beer in the holes!!! The borers must have liked it as they keep making more holes!!!

That's cute, but icky. Drunk insects. Never knew the world of wood was so full of bugs beyond termites.
