    On Monday June 2nd 1975 snow fell in Birmingham, the first time snow was recorded ever in June , the weather chart shows a cold artic blast as a low pressure centre moved eastwards across the British isles. Birmingham post for Tuesday 3rd June 1975.

      Thanks all for interest, a week later we had a heatwave summer and drought conditions for 18 months which led to the famous heatwave summer of 1976.
