I have owned this piece for quite sometime and I am still not sure what type of stone this is carved from. I believe the figure is of a Mayan man carrying some kind of bowl. It is a very nice piece that everyone is always asking what is the stone? I tried to to find something similar on line but nothing looks like it that I could find. If anyone has some answers and could share that bit of info with me that would be nice!
