This old Postcard dates from 1918-1930. Appears this was a backdrop photograph. Has anyone seen any information on Standard R.R.Co. ????? Notice the plaque on the Rail "Standard R.R.Co." then the other "Philadelphia Express" the gentleman is My wife's Great aunt Cousin, William Ross. Though it was Cool to know that the Pennslyvania Railroad went threw several name changes and owners.
this is a photo of a Pullman Porter! nice find!
Thanks ho2cultcha, The Gentleman's Name was William Ross, It was my wife's Great Aunt Cousin.
Nice photograph-- this type of of backdrop is often used for tourist views to show a particular trip or visit location.
I see nothing to suggest the man is a Pullman porter. Pullman porters wore uniforms with logo buttons and hats.

I was thinking the same sccottvez, no uniform or hat that would say you worked for the R.R.
The Philadelphia Express was a passenger train used by Jersey Central Railroad. I had some original old pictures of this train from the 1930's I'll see if I can find them.
hot-estate-sales, thank You.
