My "End of Bed" Trunk Project

My wife has been bugging me for some time to build (or restore) a trunk that we could use at the foot of our bed. She has this "comforter infatuation" and wanted something that would be easily accessible for her ever increasing moods to change things. I thought I had built and /or restored enough trunks to fill this void but, no. So down into the shop I went and, not wanting to make the project into more than it was (I have a habit of doing this) I found some old fence board and decided to use it for this chest. Having it deep enough to be able to hold some fluffy blankets, a few extra pillows and God knows what else she likes to keep at the foot of the bed (!>) I came up with a height that I thought would work. The project didn't take long to complete and when I was done, I looked at my creation with disappointment, knowing that she would hate it . When she saw it, the reaction was "I LOVE IT, PERFECT!!" Uh-huh! Like I said, I KNEW she would love it!
