Just bought this off my neighbor for $100 (have no clue if that’s a good price). This has been in his backyard forever and I’ve always admired it. It’s in rough condition, but I like the look and we plan to use it as an open ice chest on our deck. We are getting a sheet metal liner made as the original one is pretty rusty. What do you guys think? If anyone has any information on it I would really appreciate it.
Looks to be a 1930's Master ice cooler, by maker Westinghouse or Cavalier. There may be a series of raised letters/numbers on the inside liner, which will help you identify. See link below for a helpful resource put together by CW's toolboxted. I think the way you intend to use it will be perfect.
