      It looks like (Heat Pike) to me, but I guess good as any! :^D Maybe you fill with Hot Water, put a Cork in the Hole, and put it in a Bread Basket? :^)

      Thank you for your detective work! I tried Pike and came up with Pike Pottery of High River, Alberta, Canada. They have their own stamp so dead end. I love the piece - I wonder if it is meant for a bread basket!

      It says "Arch Pike." He was a potter from Hunstville, Alabama.

      Thank you FunkyDandelion! Never would have got "Arch" from signature - but now it is plain as day! The piece is so well made, I figured it had to be someone with skill. I enjoyed reading about him, thanks for forwarding the information. I did have the piece for sale, but it might just stay in my collection! Thank you !
