Ideal Captain Action Captain America Ray Rifle Circa 1966

Picked this up at a GI Joe show in Pasadena about a week and half ago. I was told it was not the Captain Action rifle but it is. Not a big deal but I did have to spend a bit more time researching to figure this out. Sadly I did not photograph it with Captain Action in his Captain America disguise. Captain Action could turn into different super heroes and each costume was called a disguise. This was one of the original sets released in 1966.
Now Captain America did not carry weapons other than his shield aside from the early days of WWII. But for more play value you need to get creative so Captain America gained a ray rifle and pistol along with a belt and holder for the pistol.
Wrapped this up with Captain Action holding the rifle and then joined by Action Boy with his ray pistol and Flash Gordon also ray gun armed. Hopefully that will be enough to defeat Doctor Evil and his evil henchmen.
