I posted a pair of Baccarat vases recently in a faily common style, but this pair are very unusual. Unlike the more common mirrored pairs these are a unique pair, the only element mirrored being those amazing 'faced' crescent moons. Representing the evening song of a pair of exquisitely illustrated small birds singing to the moon, with amazing vivid purple branches and leaves which contrast so well against the moody red of the evening sky, they are really dynamic; they feel so much more alive than other Baccarat pieces of this genre. When I saw them I just fell in love with them. At 12" (30cm) in height they are a very pretty imposing pair.

Hey Malkey, thanks dude, always appreciate your comments!!
Waxing lyrical is not your usual style, Phil, but I totally understand...... they are heavenly!
Hahaha...your so right Peggy, but these stir me... : )
Wow!! Love these!
Oh my goodness Phil, these are gorgeous! Thanks for mentioning them in your other post - I hadn't seen them! What a beautiful pair. I completely agree with you that they feel dynamic. I especially like how each bird is turned a different way to look at the moon. I have never seen a pair in this decor, just a single one in blue and a single in brown tones, but with a sort of streaked water-color effect background rather than the clouds on yours. Yours are the nicest! :)
Thanks Michelle, always good to get a Baccarat collector's view on these things.
Loooovely!!..:-)
