This amazing pink tango vase seduced me by its simple form, its unusual colour, and the three graceful paws that support it... I felt very lucky when I got it at auction. I believe it was one of my last "tangos". It has has an overall height of 11 cm.
For years I was very attracted to this type of glass that was fashionable about 100 years ago, although sometimes I think that tango glass objects must have been intended for a public quite different from the one who bought iridescent glass, and that such objects must have even been cheap at the time....
In the last foto, I allowed myself to make a composition with 3 of these vases.
It's so elegant! Pink Tango glass is my favourite type, but it's so rare & difficult to find. I have a few pieces which I feel most fortunate to have purchased. Yours is such a stylish example...
Thanks a lot IronLace for commenting. I agree with you, this colour doesn't frequently show up, and the same about violet.
