      Thank you for posting these pictures, especially the one of the lady.
      I have several ladies’ watch chains and i have been puzzled about how women actually wore them. They are extremely long. Seeing how this lady has hers draped and secured to her dress, with her watch handy but not dangling so far that it could get broken, has been very helpful.

      They are my great grandparents he was part of the whiskey rebellion John brown from London and molly Brown from London both served.

      These photos date from the 1880s and while the folks look old, I would think that both were born in the 19th century.

      Often I find photos with attributions that don't make sense with what can be seen in the photograph.
