Jeeze, I don't think I've ever even seen these... maybe just never paid attention to them. I have seen others but not 7up! Nice collection. Loving this new CW feature too!
Thanx shareurpassion! I never paid attention to them either until I started collecting &up bottles. Then amazed at how many different ones.
I have two of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish bottles and would like to trade for the IU and/or Cleveland Browns bottles. They are empty.
GCHiker, no thank you. I don't want 3 of the same bottle, especially to give up 2 that I won't have anymore.
OK. I didn't know if you had any duplicates.
Merry Christmas iggy, have a great New Year and hope to see you soon
Thank you so much Newfld! I am still around. Happy holiday to you and yours and please be safe.
I have a 7 up bottle like the ones you have shown except mine differs it’s has the imbossing on the the neck U 7 P and does not have the red in the label any idea when they started putting color in ,mine is all white ,it was made in California company code 23 on the date side it says 4.
Sandhill, is your bottle one like these?

If so they always came with the red paint, some yrs the paint wasn't as good and would wear off. U7P is one of the earlier 'swimsuit' bottles and should have 8 bubbles above the swimsuit girl. Check out this discussion also on the red paint.

It is like the one in those pictures, but it sure doesn’t look like there ever has been any red paint, and it only has 7 bubbles above the girl .the bottom says 23 on the left side of that strange mark and a 4. On the right side ,from what I can find the 23 is the code for the plant in California and the 4 is the last digit in the year it was made is this right ? From looking at the bottle in the pictures,I think it is early ear then 37
If you can post some pics of the bottle that would help. If you go to the https://www.antique-bottles.net/forums/sodas-embossed-paper-label-and-acls.15/ and post the pics with your questions, It would be easier to see the bottle and also many other bottle nuts could also check it out. Sounds like the Los Angeles Plant (23) then the Owens Illinois bottle Mark then a & for 1937.
