Nice lot Bill. I especially like the Knight on the horse, is it ceramic, or a book?
    2. billretirecoll billretirecoll, 5 years ago
Thanks AdeleC, yes it's ceramic, or pottery. I've seen things like it before, it's a Wall Plaque, but haven't checked anything out yet. :^D Thanks so much for the love you gave also! :^)

Hey Jenni, every time I find a cute Animal, I think of you, because I know that you'll love it, if I post it! :^D So thank you for your comment, and the love that you gave! :^)

The yellow glass vase is very nice - I have one similar except a jug style with one handle. Gotta love those flea markets - where would us collectors be without them?
    7. billretirecoll billretirecoll, 5 years ago
Thanks IronLace, I did see a Jug that was similar on line, but don't know who made the Vase that I have. The color combination is used by many Glass makers, and there are no marks mine, so only by chance someone will know who made it!
Without Flea Markets, I think we'd have much smaller Collections for sure, or smaller Bank Accounts! :^D

Thank you all for the love that you gave, Kevin, Pascale, Thomas, and aura, it's very nice to get, and appreciated! :^)

Thanks Eileen, I thought, when I saw the Rabbit, that it was Pottery, but no, it's hollow cast Pot/White Metal. Kind of heavy to have around Glass, or Pottery Figurines, so it will have to stay by the metal Bookends! :^D There's 2 Vases, a Nut Dish, and a Plate, with hand painted Ladies on them, all from the 1890's-1920's, Victoria Austria, and Germany, where the Carl Tielsch plate is from, with a 1875-1900 C.T. mark on the bottom. The Pixies are Walker Pottery from Monrovia, Calif. late 1940's earlier than most of the Pixies of the 1950's. They're recognized by their Faces, and the Figurines, and Planters, are heavier, than the later made Pixies, from other Potteries!
This was one of the few times that I paid more then the Seller asked, they were way too low! :^D
Thank you Eileen, for the love that you gave also! :^)

You got some really neat pieces there!
    10. billretirecoll billretirecoll, 5 years ago
Hi Mrstyndall, yes I think so too! :^D When people at the Flea Market saw me start grouping things to buy, the Buzzards started to circle! B^o Thanks for your comment, and the love that you gave! :^)

Thanks my #1 Mary, I don't even know what I'm going to do with all my Purses and Compacts, I carry a Leather Satchel for Flea Market Finds, but have never used Powder from a Compact yet! :^D Oh well someone might like them! The Metal Rabbit has an Art Deco look, but I don't know how old it is, and I couldn't find out anything about the Scottie Dog either, just a red printed GERMANY on the bottom of the left back foot, and a 1 or 40339, on it's right side belly. I found a similar Candle holder, but it's a round tray on it but no maker for that one either!
Thank you for the love that you gave also! :^)
