Mrstyndall posted a beautiful Flower Brooch, that had the same color center Stone as this Murano Glass Cigar Tray, that I just got. I wanted to show a closer look of the Cigar Tray, and also these two resent found Pottery Vases, that have the same color as the Murano Glass piece. The Cigar Tray is an unmarked Murano Glass piece, it's 7" front to back, and just under 7" wide, and 2 1/4' tall, the Turquoise/Blue cases a White inner Glass, that makes the Color Glow! The smaller Pottery Vase is 5"tall by 3 3/4"wide, 2 1/2"across the base, and 1"across the top, it has an upward spiral pattern of brush stroke rectangles of dark and light Turquoise, a small Salmond colored square in the center, with a Black L across the bottom and up the left side of each one, the underglaze is Lt. Grey, there's a hand written signature on the bottom that looks like Freedman. The vase a Danish look to me, but don't know. The taller Vase is more like Stoneware, that has a Dark Turquoise glaze with a Lavender blend on the top, it's 8"tall, 3 7/8" across the 1/4"h of unglazed base, it tapers upward 6 3/4" to 1 1/4", and funnels to 2 1/4" across the top, it has a 1 1/4"opening. The Vase has a paper label that reads [Made In] [California By] [BOB MEINHARDT], on 3 lines, and an impressed mark that looks like an R over an M encircled, but I can't find any information about it!
Thank you for looking, and all comments are welcome! :^)
