Definitely an error dime. No bands at all.
And I do see that the 'sheen' is different. Nice find!
Living in the United States of North America and running a business where money moves gives me the opportunity to obtain all kinds of coins, some of which I ignore their origin but I keep, I am still choosing one to one of the coins that I have achieved get over time... my friend wait a little longer because I still have a lot to show. Thanks for commenting!
Sure, I took a peek at a couple of my coins today and found one that would have been good had it not been run over by a truck or something!!! haha I think I found a couple more but don't know yet. It does take a lot of time and then you have to know what you're looking for on top of it. If I stick with it, I may end up being pretty decent at picking out some errors. We'll see. My time is just so limited right now.
Nothing about what I'm seeing on this dime indicates it's aluminium and in 1965 US coins did not carry a mint mark
Not an error coin, noting indicates that is made of aluminum except for the average clad that you see every day, and it doesn't have a mint mark because it was minted in the Philadelphia mint. Philadelphia minted coins do not have mint marks except for certain years.
