      And the bands are gone too. Is that what makes these collectable or is it the mint mark as well? Just learning about all this.

      I also just noticed how high the number of dimes these are. Or maybe I should say there was a lot printed.

      Nowadays many people ignore the value of history, we who have that passion know how much value we can give to just a penny. It could have been much or little in number what was obtained in the minting of those coins, but almost the majority of people do not know their real value and that is why they have been lost in some drawer of an old closet...
