I found this old hand saw. I was very curious about it. I was told that it is an old carpenters saw and the strange part near the handle was used to measureAngel's. This is the first time I have seen this on a saw. If you know more please let me know
It *is* interesting?! (though I'm not sure I'm certain how "practical" it'd be...?) I'd start with (and/or reveal) whatever name is on its brass insignia (or any other marks on it) to try to find its age/origin...??
