Bachmsnn Mini-Planes Boeing Clipper 1970s (The Real Ones 1938-1941)

Only 12 of these planes were made by Boeing. Bachmann made many more. The originals were float planes designed to fly across the oceans especially the Pacific. It was also known as the model 314 and 9 were purchased by Pan Am. It took 19 hours to get to Hawaii and 6 days to get to Hong Kong. Probably a few stop overs on the Hong Kong route. Which was much faster than taking a ship, a freighter would takes months to make the trip one way. I believe it carried 36 passengers
Now on to this exciting model. The propellers move and that is the only moving feature but it is still a cool model. They had excellent taste to make this one. Sea planes have always been one of my favorites and this was a big one.
