This is David Singer's last poster for Bill Graham, who died in a helicopter crash in 1991. During the heyday of the Fillmore, Singer designed more posters for Graham than any other artist. Yesterday, when I was visiting David, he told me that Bill really liked this one, and told David so. In David's experience, Bill usually only told him when he didn't like something, so praise like that was relatively rare.
Dimensions of the final poster are 20 1/2 x 29, but this is an untrimmed press sheet, which makes it a bit larger. Naturally there are not as many untrimmed press sheets floating around, for whatever that is worth. You can see David signature in silver ink in the second photo. The signature in black above the credit for Tea Lautrec Litho is in the print itself.
