So I didn't pay much for this; I just liked it. A little while later another dealer shrieked when she noticed it was the same as a print she had for sale. So now I'm thinking my painting is a copy of something more famous, perhaps a student's study? Just wondering if anyone recognizes the painting or knows the artist?

The print is published by Reinthal & Newman, NY (American Publishers, 1906-1928). The print is called Ginny or Grinny.

CaughtMyEye, I just noticed that yours is a painted copy, and see what you were talking about Grinny! :^D So I wonder if your copy was painted by B Adams in '27, or that's the name of the original Artist and date, or . . . I'll take a photograph of mine and post it, for fun! :^)
