Trayc
(1 item)
My mother who has passed, told me she lived in Baltimore, MD in the early 1960s. The city was digging to build something and they dug up a lot of pottery which they let people take. She got this vase. I would love to know if it is Indian pottery or something else.
The Vase is great, if you could give some dimensions it may help. It's nice that it's not broken, after being dug up, and being kept all those years also! Good luck in getting some information on your Pottery Vase Trayc, and welcome to CW, there's a lot of knowledgeable people, willing to help you here! :^)
It was thrown on a potter's wheel, glazed, and fired in a kiln...so it's definitely not Native American pottery. The form and decoration aren't remotely like anything any Native American tribe produced.
It's about 6" high and about 3 3/4" at the widest point. Unfortunately it was broken and had been glued together years ago. I'm excited at the chance to know more about it after all these years.
Pic of the base please
I added photos to original post. Did not know how to add in comments. Thanks
