      Yes it is, just not a top end one. Although Starrett was a very well respected company for the quality of their instruments. You should have no problem researching it. You have the company name and number of the tool. Just look it up.

      I looked over all the Starrett info and did not find any info. A brief note from Starrett was included with the item and said it was complimentary from the company. Maybe it was a promotional item given out to their customers.

      Hello, That is a Starrett Button Gage, graduated in 40ths of an inch. From the L. S. Starrett 1938 catalog listing. Basically a Pocket Slide Caliper, with unusual graduations. Regards, Lou
