    ChaseCan
    (35 items)

Last mystery item I have for now...

I believe I saw one just like it online in my searches when I first aquired it but can't find it again to verify what it is.

If memory serves me right, it's a can, or was a can of rouge that one mixed with something to make up the rouge... Or it's dried out(?) Used by Jewelers and clock/watch repair people.

    What I do know:
This was amongst other items I've posted that belonged to a gentleman that owned a local Jewelery/Watch and Clock Repair store. The store long since closed, the entire store put in storage for 30+ years and as it happens, he past away. And the storage unit dispensed with after a dozen people went through it, including family members looking for precious gems gold and silver leaving the rest to be tossed and/or donated.
Mixed in with the few trinkets I aquired during the clean up, were items dating back over a hundred years that he apparently used in his craft.
The small box this item and a few others were in where apparently located in his beautiful, yet destroyed watch repair work desk... (What they did to that work station was sad to see.. )

Post Mark stamp on the box is 1979. Everything inside dates older than that by decades...

This item, is about the size of an old 35mm film canister. Remember those?!

Embossed on the lid is: "Important - Save Can - Instructions Inside"
Military green in color at this time, though the color might have been slightly different when new.
Of course there's no instructions on the inside.
The contents as you see it in the image.

Mystery as to what it is, how to use it or mix it and what with if that's what you're suppose to do. And who it's made by.

Anyone recognize it? Have a copy of the instructions that came with it you can send me a PDF of?
