Hi CW Costume Jewelry Collectors, Last week I went into one of the surviving thrifts and found this pin, It is unsigned and it was missing a bunch of stones. I replaced the missing rhinestones. The plating does show some wear. The brooch measures 3 and 1/4" tall and 2 and 3/4" wide.
I'm guessing it is circa 1940.
Thanks for stopping by.
Thank you Ken. I haven't found anything really old at thrift in a long time. I think you have quite an eye, too. Your collection is awesome. I love to follow what you post.
Nice find!
Hi Eileen, You don't like rivets?
Thanks everyone, for the loves and appreciation.
Really elegant!
I've been real slow at checkin everyone's treasure lately, you've got another nice one Eileen, I really love the almost Royal look it has! :^D Thanks for showing! :^)
Sorry Maureen, I was reading Eileen's comment, and put her name instead of yours! Please forgive me! :^D Your Royal looking Brooch is a Beauty! :^)
Hey Billretirecoll, No worries. Nice to be mistaken for Eileen! Thanks for the comment. I'll take royal any day.
Broochman, Yes, when I first saw it I thought is this signed? But no. I did a quick search through Trifari patents and couldn't find this design, which doesn't totally rule it out as a Trifari design. But I don't think the mark was worn off, because there isn't that much plating loss on the back. So a bit of a mystery until you find one like it signed.
Eileen, I see what you mean. I think the finish is important. Lower workmanship, usually facilitated with pre-cut components are definitely pieces to leave behind.
Thanks to everyone who clicked love. So glad you loved this piece. Maureen
