    On May 10, 1937 a police radio alarm was put out for missing nine year old Fannie Rosensweig. The next day the New York Post ran a story under this photo with the headline : "Nickel to spend lures girl away", the subhead read : "East side child again takes subway ride in second vanishing act".       I agree, she's quite the intriguing character. Young Fannie, all three foot six, sixty seven pounds just wanted to explore the city.

      Thanks to Chris Bonanos (Weegee's biographer) for unearthing the old newspaper clip that brought to life my photos of Sarah and Fannie Rosensweig.

      I'll tell ya these post areas bad as my wife watching ID on the tv box every night....lol..but love the B &W's
