The Compact/Tristar Model C9 that i own has a new paint job .New cloth bag new paper bag new filters and new hose .You could say it has been completely restored. to factory spec and i even manage to have the original book let for it .I manage to buy it on ebay i n 2013 and completely gone through it as .i mention new cord as well runs like brand new only thing i didn change is the motor all original to 1979 .Yes shes a daily driver and performs better than todays vacuum .
This vintage Compact electra interstate model C9 sure is nice to have around the house shes has some battle scars but dont let that fool ya she will suck the paint off the wall per say ..
This particular model was made in yellow in green and in blue before compact became tristar in 1982 or 85 .
The green model had a driven nozzle turbo non electric hose , the yellow compact c8 c9 had the eureka re badge power head you see here .
My model is the blue c9 it has the bigger motor in it . shes been restored and works amazing i will Never part whit it put to much time money and effort to fix her up .
not for sale
My wife liked the Electrolux for years!!! I thought it was like dragging a Dead Pig around the room!!!

Thank you been using mine since 2013 no issue has undergone a complete restoration .Now part of my collection .
I have a couple (both Tri-Star branded) machines (along with probably half a dozen various vintage Electroluxes) and even worked briefly many yrs ago as a door-to-door salesman for Tri-Star. Their 'business model' (ifn's its still the same?) sorta sucks, but not nearly as well as any particular model of their vacuum cleaners do, old or new...? <LOL> :-) :-) :-)
i have my compact electra interstate model c9 since 2012 its my daily driver its a beast i love it .
