This ring is marked "925" and with the letter "S" with a line through it - at least this is what it looks like to me.
The ring appears hand made but I am not sure. The six golden balls and the pearl in the centre of the ring move around when the position of the ring changes. I checked for "kinetic" rings but so far no luck. I also checked jewellery from Israel but no luck either.
This is one of the most unusual rings I have seen so far.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would wear this in a heartbeat. It's funny that you saw an S, I see two G's.
Thanks so much for your comment, Ms.CrystalShip. You are correct, it appears like some thought and work went into making this ring. When I bought it, the lady behind me called the ring "pretty". Now, this is not a description I would use. I would rather call it "interesting". And yes, I would call this a conversation piece, too.
So much expertise went into that ring. A truly artisan piece. great find. Kudos!
Raven3766, thanks for your comment. Yes, it's funny how people can see the sam thing - but different:)
Plein-air-painter, thanks so much for your kind comment:)
I am still not 100% sure but the mark on my ring almost looks like the mark of Shube's Manufacturing (S B). I have looked for similar rings online but so far I didn't find anything close to my ring. I guess my hope is that someone bought the same or very similar ring and remembers what it is:)
I'm a little late in looking at your unique, and quite lovely ring. The leaves that are coming up on the petals, is so unusual. Reminds me of some Scandinavian jewelry.
I looked online and found these examples, that I think, look very close to yours. Possibly, your ring was a one of. Only one thing that I'm not 100% sure of. The dollar sign hallmark is slightly different. Does anyone agree? They all have little knobs worked into the jewelry - as your ring does, that don't move.

I agree with Gillian, it looks Scandinavian to me too. I’m not familiar enough with Scandinavian jewelry to make give any real info. Could be worth looking into though. I also think it could be a Schube; if it is, then I think it’s an older piece because there’s no copyright mark on this piece as there is on other Schube pieces.
