Found this necklace with strung light blue stones. Im not an gemstone expert. I’m wondering which stone it could be. Turquoise? Larimar? What do you think?

I’d never heard of Larimar so looked it up. Your beads do look like it! Love them!

Here I go again being a killjoy! I don't think these are Larimar beads, if they were all blue, then maybe because the close up does look like it. I'm not expert there tho either so I'm not so positive. I love Larimar but haven't seen them with so much white, doesn't mean they are not.

Can you flip the clasp and photo it? Czech may just be on the other side.

@shareurpassion , the clasp isn’t marked anywhere. I know they usually come with silver clasps. I’ve read that the stone has to be washed often and should be kept out of the sun and heat or it starts to fade. I don’t know maybe it is Larimar, maybe not. That’s why I come to this site xD

Online info/pictures show numerous variations in the color depending on what deposits in the ground formed Larimar. White and brown as well as various intensities of the blue color are typical. The bluest stone is more prized so maybe these beads are made from what was considered less desirable and strung by someone who was not a pro....still beautiful in my eyes.... :-)

@shareurpassion , after a little more research the stones look more like light blue Jasper.

I am not at all a gemexpert but to me these look like vintage fancy glass beads. The way the blue parts softens and blends into the white looks like glass rather than stone. Very beautiful indeed! If only they were mine....
