    Not sure trying to find out a bit about this trunk i bought for $10 all I know about it is that on some of the braces it says Pat Mar 1880

      The stamped metal slat clamps, were patented in 1880 by C. A. Taylor, they were used for several decades, the metal lid lift and the flat stamped corner pieces tell me it was probably made around late 1890's to early 1900's very common style trunk made by many trunk makers of the time.
