Here is a Welz 6-sided bowl in pink line and confetti decor with blue applied rim. Notice the fine spiral lines probably made by the mold even though there is a ground pontil on the base. This is an interesting and rare shape purchased about 15 years ago in the Czech Republic, I have noticed many decors that have only shown up in the Czech Republic.

The lines are from the mold, similar to their most prolific basket form. The reason for a ponsil mark is that in order to avoid the use of a punty rod, the piece needs to have a base of some sort for a snap tool, or gadget, to grab on to. Pieces like this do not have that, so they have a pontil mark. The same thing is seen with many of their baskets.

The pontil is rough- just like those baskets. Lately there have been some knuckle/umbrella pieces that are harder to place as kralik or Welz, I think we have to leave open the possibility that others did style of shape or blue glass using this technique
