This sign is from a San Francisco dry goods store dating back to the 1890's. Sufrin and Hastings dry goods.Boss of the Road jeans were popular among rail workers and miners of the time(1904). This has been in the old carriage house, (small barn) since before my family and the previous owner. Much of the stuff in the old shack has been there since 1901. Never realized how old this thing was. The old building still exists in SF but was remodeled in the 20's or 30's and now is a dry cleaners. Jeans were called coveralls back then. Boss of the Road 1904.

Hello. What ever happened to this sign. I recently found a clipping that I kept from long ago related to my family history research. I'd love to know more about the location it was found or any other stories.
