This is a water powered fan that I bought from a man at a show where I displayed all of my water powered items.
He was looking at my display and asked if I ever saw a water powered fan, and if I would be interested in purchasing one to add to my collection of water powered items.
I told him that I have seen them at antique shows, and that I believed that they would be too far out of my price range to purchase.
At the time I was making , and marketing, a working miniature water ram. He told me that we might be able to make a deal on the fan if I were to enter a finished and completed miniature ram into the transaction. He told me to come to his farm in Maryland and see the water powered fan.
I told my wife that we were going to Maryland the day after the show that we were presently attending, was over.
We went to Maryland, and to the gentleman's farm, we sat on a hay bale and, after seeing the fan, we worked out a fair price that I could afford.
The Fan works great when hooked up to the kitchen cold water faucet. It works on the same principle as a water motor. The water is directed by a jet nozzle to a series of rotating cups in the body of the fan. This spins the blades very fast and it cools as good as any electric fan of the same size. A great piece and I will always cherish it.
What a fantastic item! Wow!
