I have recently acquired this great early Snow Shoe Bending Form from a barn in Maine. It is mounted on a solid board with bread board ends measuring 20" × 44". Thanks for Any thoughts or comments that can be shared as to possible age.
Long years ago these were quite common all over Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. We used them for hunting, trapping even gathering sap for maple syrup in the spring. Now days they use snowmobiles and ATV's. From the up tilt on the toe of this I wouldn't expect it to be 1913. Perhaps 40's give or take a few years either way. Certainly something you don't see every day and most folks have never seen. Thanks for sharing it, brings up fun memories of a better time in life.
