I posted this Remco Mighty Matilda Aircraft Carrier a while back. It had some issues and I put her in dry dock to do some repairs. I replaced the damaged landing strip sticker and the missing "93" forward sticker with repros. I took it COMPLETELY apart to address the elevator problems. In the process I stupidly broke the motor leads and wound up with a mass of flexible spring cables, helix gears that I had no idea where they went properly. It took a repairs, adjustments and cursing to figure it out. The cable will only work one certain way. I'm finally satisfied with the elevators, they're finicky on them when it's fresh out of the box anyway. I'd like to find some more planes and choppers. I degaused the hull, scraped the barnacles, and she's on the way to join the fleet at Hong Kong.
China won’t let you dock at Hong Kong .
Purvis, we'll see. This thing is noisy, it intimidates and unnerves people.
I also have one of these in dry-dock. While fiddling with the elevators the drive-spring popped off. I cannot figure how to put these on track. If you ever pop the deck off I'd love a photo of how the drive-spring for the elevators is aligned.
