This sign has scratches, dents, shows wear but I was fairly sure it was not very old. Especially as the price was $18 instead of $118. But I liked the sign, had seen one earlier and regretted not buying it so here it is. The sign is 21" x 7 1/2".
Did some research on the AAA Sign Co of Coitsville OH aqnd the first result was that any sign made by this company is a fake. Did more research and the company that made it went out of business in the 1990s. Did more research and this is the Keen Kutter logo used after 1985 which is licensed to several companies. So as the logo is period correct it is not quite a fake although the company did make signs that were repros.
The sign is embossed in the areas of the axe head and saw handle. The back is cardboard. I did some cheesy thing with pic #4 combining a bit of the back along with the corner where AAA Sign Co is printed.
Sign is cool . AAA sign company was making signs for the public decorated use . They made many others signs and don’t think they clammed they where original . No there not originals signs but they are now some 30 years old and if the price is right they do have value.
