Something out of the ordinary for me to post lately but when I saw this item for 99 cents, I couldn't pass it up!
I'm not exactly sure how old it is, but I do know it's on the rare side because the lid/red fireman's hat is made of cast iron! The caption on the from says "America's Heros, Firefighters"! How true is that?! This is going to my friend I met while selling on Etsy, the one I sent cast iron pans to, Wagners, that actually cracked of all things!!! She was the sweetest thing about it too, saying, no worries, I got this! I used to be an iron worker! I could not believe it. We became fast friends and now she has her firefighters badge, but beyond that, she is a first responder in N. Carolina!
It's hard to find anything to do with firefighters as the families usually keep the mementos. So glad I saw this. She can put it at her station now. Lucky find! Great gift too, don't you think?
