Had to talk a nephew outta this one during a family cookout over last weekend, after spotting it sitting atop a small pile of larger wood crates behind his house, all of which he'd apparently scavenged from his job recently. It's totally convenient size (~15" x 16" x 17") plus nifty TIMKEN logos just screamed at me... "TAKE ME HOME, I NEED TO BE FURNITURE!" <LOL> My nephew didn't initially want to part with it when I asked if I could have it [he said he was gonna paint it and fill it with dirt for a planter?!! <nonono>] but a quick fiver offered changed his mind immediately and into the back of my truck it went... ;-) :-)
It's nowhere near "old", made of rough plywood and typical crate grade lumber -- but it is nice and sturdy, not to mention well decorated with various labels and stamps besides the TIMKEN logos on each side. Last pic here is of what it likely held, a 'spec sheet' which was still in a plastic bag inside the box.
Sheesh...now where the crap am I gonna squeeze *this* thing into my little house...?? <LOLOL>
THANKS SO MUCH to Brunswick, blunderbuss2, iggy, fortapache, Newfld, jscott0363, elanski, & valentino97 for showing your appreciation for my newest nifty shipping crate!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Val, I'm still not really sure where it'll end up or as what, and you're quite right I probably *should* make a point to keep that spec sheet with it anyways. At the moment it is serving temporarily to hold up the newest <$50 42" TV that's otherwise fallen into my house... ;-)
