My interest in this type of glass has been rekindled, thanks to CW.
I don't see as much of it around as I used to 20 - 25 years ago, so I was pleased to find this piece at last Sunday's monthly antiques fair.
The vase is an intense, vibrant orange, with a bottom up spatter, & it measures 15 cm tall, 10.3 cm across the four - way crimped top rim, & 7 cm across the base.
I have a set of three vases with the same bottom up spatter on a yellow - orange ground, each with a different top treatment - a four - way crimp like this one, a two - way crimp, & a JIP. Nice to have another variant to complement them.
Not marked but unmistakably Czech glass of the 20s/30s era.
Talk about Confetti! What a great look IronLace, I love the Orange too! :^D
Thanks for another beautiful Czech Glass Vase post! :^)
nice one..I miss Wenty .. Tried to email you but it bounced back xx
Wenty misses you too, Marty.
Peggy will know about this vase IL, I reckon. She is the spatter specialist :)
Marty, I've changed to a new one - will be in touch soon...
I'm sure she will, racer!
Peggy has one - so do I. We had a short discussion here a couple years ago. https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/227808-czech-orange-spatter-wavy-lip-vase
There is an argument that the mark on my vase is a Kralik mark.
