Just in......Loetz Malachit vase with silver overlay, Ca 1885-95. Polished pontil, ground base and ground rim. I am trying to identify the silversmith. All evidence points tentatively to Eugen Marcus, a German craftsman who once served the Kaiser as hofjuwelier. Marcus probably commissioned the vase for decoration.
