While we're on the topic of my 'weird clocks collection', here's the 2nd one of my punchclocks, this one by the SIMPLEX TIME RECORDER CO. of Gardner, MA.

[the other one is here: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/267278-acroprint-time-recorder-punch-clock ]

This machine actually served duty for a good number of years at the shop where I work (it may in fact have come with the building?) until somebody managed to do something to its innards that apparently got its 'clock' part hopelessly out of sync with its 'time recorder' part, which in turn caused the office manager great fits of frustration, which ultimately resulted in a new one appearing on the wall in its place one morning several years ago. Being the astute and observant employee I am ;-) ;-) I immediately realized that this one would (and was) be thusly unceremoniously tossed into the dumpster, from which I promptly retrieved it to my truck.

And it's been part of my 'weird clocks collection' ever since...?? :-) :-) :-) Its face measures roughly 6" x 9" and AFAIK it still keeps good time, or at least did when rescued...I probably haven't had it plugged up since, it only serving as 'shelf dressing' now. 4th pic is a label inside its cover, which I *do* have the keys for... ;-) :-)

I remember them well. There were Simplexes at many places I worked at in my early years. They were brownish older models but the same basic punch clock.
