This is a pretty plique-à-jour and silver fairy pendant with a paper clip chain. She is adorned with delicate butterfly wings in soft green and pink tones, probably modeled after the incomparable Loie Fuller and her revolutionary dance and fashion style. The back side is marked Depose and 900 silver, but lacks Meyle and Mayer's dragonfly mark despite its similarity with similar pendants produced by the Pforzheim firm. All thoughts are welcome.
What a beauty, I recently posted a Butterfly Brooch, made in the plique-à-jour way, here's a link to it if you haven't seen it:

Thanks so much for showing yours! :^)
Absolutely gorgeous lady & butterfly image
Beautiful!! I've been watching Carnival Row on Amazon Prime. This reminded me of the characters referred to as "Fae".
I think a couple of firms made a design similar to this. I've seen several variations some marked, others not. I've also wondered if their might not be some reproductions out there. (yours looks completely right though). But I do know some makers made lines for Parisian departments stores that they did not mark.
Stunning. The third photo is just beautiful.
Thank you all for your comments!
Yes, jscott0363, we watched Carnival Row and kept thinking about this fairy pendant and similar ones we have seen on the web.
Jewels1900, thank you for the great information. The 900 and Depose mark on the back of this piece are nearly identical in size, placement, and script to those that were struck on the back of another but different fairy butterfly piece that also included the dragonfly mark: http://www.tademagallery.com/jewellery/d/art-nouveau-fairy-brooch/146382# You are probably right that this piece was produced for a retailer and accordingly did not include the full manufacturer's mark. It will likely remain a mystery, one that we will happily live with!
Beautiful piece!
I think Meyle & Mayer too, all weren't marked with the dragonfly...

kyratango, thank you!! Your posts are incredible, still need the time to go through all of them!
Thank you! You'll see I have some Meyle & Mayer pieces ;-))
