    Does any one have any idea what time period this is from? I found this at a yardsale and I love it but I don't have a clue what time period it is from. It looks pretty old to me, maybe 1920s? Need help!!

      Looks like from Mexico or even India--but looks Mexican 1950-60's era hand crafted--might even be late 1940's

      Thanks! Upon further research it looks a lot like the punched or pounded tin frames that were produced in mid-century Mexico. You totally called it. Lots of help.

      yes, this is an art form in Mexico - punched tin. it's still made today, but there are plenty of old ones out there. i've found a few.
