    Hi

I am trying to find the country of origin for these two chairs.
Dating them is easy - because they both have a date carved into them! (one is 1858 and the other 1841).

From info I have already found, they could be Scandinavian...but I really have no idea.

I have been thinking about the two dates and wondered if the first one was made for someone's wife and the second for their daughter (17 years between the two dates)..but I am open to other theories!

Anyway, they are super cool and I love them:-)

    regards

    Paul

I would question the validity of those dates without eyes on inspection.

      Hi Blunderbuss2

They are good! I have been collecting antiques for 20+ years and I can spot a fake...but thanks for your concern!

      regards

      Paul
