I have an old clear glass "star" SODA WATER" Bottle.
There are 6 stars at the top, SODA WATER twice on middle and at the base: CONTENTS 6 FL.OZ & 902 PAT.DES.NO. 70,281. SCRANTON, PA on bottom.

I researched the number & found the design was used for flavored Coca Cola product in 1927. All of the bottles I found had "PROPERTY OF COCA COLA" under the words SODA WATER.

I cannot find one just like this. Would other bottlers have used this design or was it exclusively used for Coca Cola. Also, what are the three digits, 902, preceding the Pat.Des.?

    Thank you!

I have several of these (SPOILER ALERT: Not rare) actually, made mainly during the 30's and 40's, from Soda Bottlers. Contained, suprisingly, Soda Water, not flavored water. Worth maybe 1-2 bucks, just because it's not coke and is in mint shape.

cocacloakid97 is correct, this type of bottles are not that rare. however i personaly believe they are worth more than a couple of bucks. i collect texas bottles so i wouldnt buy a bottle from scranton,pa. but a bottle from a small texas town would be worth 10 bucks or maybe more TO ME. so the value depends on what the buyer collects.

I have one of the round / square Coca Cola Soda bottles which has the 6 stars around the top. However, the bottom is plain without a city / location embossed on it. Could anyone possibly give an approximate date range of manufacture? The bottle is clean with no cracks or chips. Many Thanks.

I am searching for the name of town and/or community with a name ending in "Village" located either in Missouri or Maryland that bottled the "Star" Coca-Cola square bottom soda water bottles. I have such a bottle and can only decipher the Village and not the first name. Along with the location name, it has a 1945 date embossed with the patent information on the bottom as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
