Does anyone know what this is (there's two of them)?
My wife and I inherited her father's house. He was 94 when he died, and the house is 110.
He bought and used a lot of tools, and most of them I can identify, but I've no idea of what this is.
The main reason I'm asking is because I'm cleaning out the garage, trying to separate the crap from the good stuff, and I didn't want to just scrap it if it's got value to a collector.
    Your help is highly appreciated.

Ladder jacks. You mount them on two ladders and put a plank between them for a platform to work off. Very common in construction.

Oh! Thanks so much for your responses, especially yours @fhrjr2 . I was able to look that up and find photos of how it's set up. Make perfect sense :)

Coming in a little late here, those were real finger pinchers/knuckle busters when setting them up on an extension ladder!!!
