Found in a drawer the other day. Never Used!!! In 1975 Congress passed the Metric Conversion Law. The US was supposed to go completely metric!!! The kit has Boy Scout Games in it.
As with doing away with pennies and dollar bills and going with $1 coins. Most folks of these United States don't like "CHANGE" being forced on them. My lifelong buddy who was in the Gas Pump Repair biz got the contract to convert Shell Stations to Liters from Gallons!!!
He saved all the gallon meters and a year later put them back in the pumps and sold the Liter meters to Argentina. He made a lot of Money!!!

Won't teach history in schools, but use it at the pumps. Gallons is archaic. Even the stubborn Brits have gone metric. I saw kilometer hwy. signs being put up, way back when, in AL. did the States take those down ?
It's a shame the US didn't switch to metric cold turkey. We spent too much time trying to teach conversions.
It's just human nature to resist change. Well, except with mates. LOL !
